A total of 112 projects with a contractual investment of 77.6 billion yuan ($11 billion) were signed in Wuxi Xinwu district on Nov 7, reaching new highs.

Huang Qin, acting mayor of Wuxi, said that Wuxi Xinwu district is an opening up window, technological innovation base and transformation development engine of the city. In 2017, the district played an important role in the city's economic development, as its imports and exports totaled 53.3 percent in the city.

They hope that the signing of the projects, covering the fields of new material, new energy, big data, high-end equipment, intelligence manufacturing, energy conservation and environment protection, and the new generation of information technology, will accelerate the city's conversion of new and old kinetic energy and boost the local economy.
