Construction of Wuxi Benma Technological Innovation Center, funded by Techconn Group and located in Wuxi National Hi-tech District, started on Aug 5.
With an investment of 1.5 billion yuan ($215 million), the technological innovation center will cover 6 hectares on the northwest side of the intersection of Wudu Road and West Jinghui Road. The center is expected to attract 5,000 researchers and realize annual output of 3 billion yuan in three years.

The technological innovation center will be made up of four parts: a software and hardware research and development (R&D) center for smart terminals such as mobile phones and tablets, a software and hardware R&D center in robotics and the industrial internet, a digital asset innovation center for augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR) and an entrepreneurship incubation center oriented to the three industrial chains.
The software and hardware R&D center in the field for robotics and the industrial internet will also focus on smart terminals to gather cutting-edge technology R&D teams. It is expected to become the technology driving source of Techconn Group.
Wuxi National Hi-tech District has been working for years to develop a digital economy, relying on the internet of things, big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence and integrated circuits, to lead the development of technology in the city, according to officials.
