The inaugural meeting of the Jiangsu Internet of Things Standardization Technical Committee (JS/TC46) was held in Wuxi on Aug 13.

During the meeting, the new committee signed cooperation agreements with the British Standards Institution, some internet of things (IoT) industrial associations in Wuxi, Changzhou and Suqian, Jiangsu province, the Wuxi "Sensing China" Internet of Things Chamber of Commerce, and Suzhou Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Alliance.

The participants will make full use of each other's technological advantages in related fields such as IoT and smart cities, promote communication and exchanges at home and abroad, and apply more international standards and technologies in Jiangsu province. They will work together on scientific research and standardization and publish IoT group standards jointly.

Gao Yaguang, vice mayor of Wuxi, attended the ceremony. She said she expected the newly-built committee could play an active role in transforming innovative achievements into technical standards, and promote the integration of IoT standards and industrial development.

Many expats and representatives from IoT organizations also delivered speeches to share their ideas on IoT standards during the meeting.
