Wuxi launched first batch of 10 mobile nucleic acid collection cabins for COVID-19 tests in Xinwu district in the past few days to provide better services for people in need.

The 10 cabins are located at designated locations in public areas such as the Ruigang Commercial Plaza, Technological Business Center and Wuxi Branch of Shanghai Ruijin Hospital.

The cabins, which look like containers, are made up of areas for information registration and collection for nucleic acid tests.

Medical staff are now allowed to wear ordinary work clothes and surgical masks rather than special protective clothing, wear closed long-arm biochemical gloves, and take throat swab samples through glass, which can help prevent cross-infection and provide medical staff with a more comfortable working environment.

A mobile nucleic acid collection cabin can sample more than 200 people per hour. The canbin can also be lifted and moved via crane within one or two hours.

Currently, only people who are asked to receive a nucleic acid test can go to such a cabin for sampling. They can apply for a registration code via the Lingxi app to fill in their information and check the results on their mobile phones.
