Customized vehicles for COVID-19 nucleic acid testing developed by Wuxi Passenger Transport Group were put into use for the first time in Jiangxi subdistrict, Xinwu district, Wuxi on April 12.
According to employees at the company, the customized vehicle can travel on narrow roads in communities. When operating at full capacity, it can take nearly 400 samples for nucleic acid testing per hour.
Coaches with 14 seats and 35 seats are equipped with four and six windows, respectively, providing services on both sides, according to Zhang Yi, manager of Wuxi Passenger Transport Group. The vehicle can easily move between construction sites and farmers markets to provide quick services. The vehicles even have air conditioning.
Locals can search for nucleic acid testing sites nearby via the "Ling Xi" city service app.
