Tick off scenic areas in Xinwu district

Wuxi National Hi-tech District will launch a culture and tourism promotion event on May 1 in celebration of the district's 30th anniversary.

Sponsored by the district's publicity department and bureau of culture, sports and tourism, the event will run until Oct 31, encouraging people to visit and tick off the district's tourist attractions and cultural sites in a book given to visitors. The event  includes Hongshan Taibo Scenic Area, Chinese Stone Garden, Hongshan Site Museum, Former residence of Qian Mu and Qian Weichang, Xinzhou Ecological Park, Taibo Temple and Lianghong National Wetland Park.

Visitors will receive a book for collecting seals at the seven recommended scenic areas, as well as Xinwu District Cultural Venue, Xinwu Library, Xinwang Hotel, and Xiangmei Hotel.

In addition, they can post photos, videos and travel logs on Weibo and Douyin with the hashtag "品千年文化看万象高新" to take part in the event and enjoy discounts in restaurants and hotels after ticking off at least two scenic areas in the district .

A special package of gifts will also be given to the top five posts with the most favorites on each social media platform.
