Wuxi Bailian Outlets Plaza, the largest plaza among national outlets, saw its annual sales exceed 2 billion yuan (298.03 million) in 2021 after nine year of development, which was 260 million yuan the year it opened.
The plaza, built in a European architectural style, is home to over 240 international brands. Covering over 191,000 square meters, it has become a commercial landmark of Suzhou, Wuxi and Changzhou, providing people with shopping, catering, entertainment and leisure opportunities.
It was built in the Wuxi National Hi-tech District in 2013 next to Sunan Shuofang International Airport.
As soon as it opened, many people in surrounding areas visited and shopped there. The plaza started to earn a profit in 2014 – its second year of operation – with annual sales of 928 million yuan. In 2019, the annual sales of the plaza reached 1.65 billion yuan, making it one of the top 100 highest taxpaying enterprises in Wuxi.
Wuxi Bailian Outlets Plaza is constantly adjusting its brand structure and layout by introducing experiential and family micro-vacation concepts and increasing catering brands to meet consumers' one-stop consumption needs. The second phase of the plaza is currently under construction.
