More than 40 leaders of multinational branches in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, and their families were invited to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival at the Yuantouzhu Island, or Turtle Head Isle, scenic area on Sept 10.

The guests enjoyed a fantastic display of fireworks with locals after participating in a festival feast, during which they watched performances and solved lantern riddles.

"It's so amazing. These explosive fireworks are just like vigorous Wuxi," many guests commented. They said that Wuxi's solid industrial foundation and favorable business environment have increased their confidence in Wuxi.

Before the activities, Zhao Jianjun, mayor of Wuxi, met with Kim Seung-ho, consul general of the Republic of Korea in Shanghai, and the leaders of multinational branches in the city.

Zhao wished multinational entrepreneurs and international friends in Wuxi a happy holiday.

He said that Wuxi is accelerating its high-quality development and he expects foreign-invested companies and multinational corporations to increase investment in the city.

Kim thanked Wuxi for its assistance and support for South Korea-funded enterprises and South Koreans.

He said that Wuxi is a hub of South Korea-funded enterprises and the consulate general of South Korea in Shanghai will help more South Korea-funded enterprises build a presence in the city.

He also expressed hope that the two sides will take the opportunity of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the ROK to enhance cooperation.
