The design plans for three stations – the Xinyun Road Station, Fangming Road Station, and Xinzhou Road Station – on the first phase of Wuxi Metro Line 5 have recently been unveiled to the public.

The Xinyun Road Station is located at the intersection of Taibo Avenue and Xinyun Road, with a total land area of about 31,950 square meters. The Fangming Road Station is situated at the intersection of Fangming Road and Taibo Avenue, with a total land area of about 16,088 square meters. The Xinzhou Road Station is located at the intersection of Xinzhou Road and Taibo Avenue, with a total land area of about 54,051 square meters.

The first phase of Wuxi Metro Line 5 begins at the Yufu Island Station and ends at the Xinyun Road Station. The 25.4-kilometer line is made up of 22 underground stations, passing Lihu New City, Wuxi Sports Center, Jianzhu Road, Hongxing Road, Nanchan Temple, Nanchang Street, Wangzhuang, and Meicun town.

Passengers will be able to transfer between several existing and planned metro lines and enjoy more convenient public transport in Wuxi.

The Xinwu section of Line 5 connects various shopping areas and cultural blocks, such as the Powerlong and Meili Ancient Town.
