The 2025 Silicon Valley Fashion Week opened with great fanfare at the main exhibition hall of the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco on June 8, featuring a captivating performance of the Meicun erhu that highlighted the unique charm of traditional Chinese musical instruments.
This year's event brought together renowned fashion brands and designers from around the world, bridging the worlds of art, technology, and fashion. In a standout moment, Chinese-American erhu master Alan Yip performed on behalf of Meicun sub-district, Xinwu district, Wuxi, pairing with fashion models to deliver a world-class audiovisual showcase.

Wang Wenhui, cultural counselor of the Chinese Consulate General in San Francisco, attended the event and praised the Meicun erhu's international appearance, expressing hope that Chinese culture will continue to find its way to US audiences.
