  • A new 1-billion-yuan ($139.59 million) project by Guangdong Hongda to build its remote sensing satellite constellation recently landed in WND. It will establish eight specialized centers, including a satellite system R&D and verification center and a global complex electromagnetic environment big data operations center.

  • Xintesi Semiconductor, a Shanghai GenTech subsidiary, signed to set up its headquarters, and R&D and manufacturing base in the district on July 2. It provides localization solutions and technical services for lithography and wet cleaning equipment, boosting WND's IC industry.

  • Vibracoustic's air spring plant expansion project broke ground in WND on July 3. As a global leader in auto parts and a symbol of "Made in Germany", Vibracoustic is bringing its top-ranking air spring project to China, with five production lines planned. The first is already in mass production, supplying leading Chinese NEV makers.

  • Dizal Pharma, located in WND, announced on July 3 that the FDA approved its new drug, Zegfrovy®. This achievement marks the first time an innovative drug independently developed in China has received FDA approval. As Wuxi's first local biopharma company, Dizal Pharma specializes in treatments for cancer and autoimmune diseases. Its innovative capabilities have garnered international respect from both the medical and investment sectors.

  • The Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce recently revealed the initial list of industrial clusters chosen for integrated domestic and international trade development. Out of 18 clusters across the province, two from WND were included — specifically, the integrated circuit industry cluster and the biomedical industry cluster.

  • Wuxi Software Industry Development has earned an AA+ rating from China Chengxin International, making it the first tech park entity in WND to achieve this top-tier credit rating. As the operator of Wuxi National Software Park (I-Park), the company promotes a vibrant digital economy in areas such as software, information services, digital culture, and next-generation IT.

  • A symphony concert celebrating the 104th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China aired on national television on the evening of July 1. The Wuxi Symphony Orchestra was proudly featured as the only local ensemble among the eight performing groups — a remarkable moment for the young and rising orchestra.

  • Linghu Avenue, dubbed the "super parkway", has unveiled its latest upgrade — full deployment of vehicle-road-cloud integrated systems. Four cutting-edge tech modules now operate at intersections, paving the way for revolutionary smart mobility and safer autonomous driving.

  • SK hynix Wuxi Foreign Language School in WND recently announced the launch of its middle school division, marking a strategic upgrade from a primary school to a nine-year integrated education system. The school will welcome its first middle school classes in September 2026. It follows a unique 5+2+2 model — five years of primary education, two years of transition, and two years of junior high.
