  • Xinrui Hospital in WND signed an agreement on Aug 2 to accelerate its journey toward becoming a leading general hospital and regional medical hub, enhancing healthcare services for Wuxi and neighboring areas.

  • The first management committee meeting of the Yangtze River Delta Health Research Institute of Ruijin Hospital was held on Aug 2. The institute is building seven cutting-edge tech platforms and has made major strides in medical device R&D, novel drug discovery, and AI development.

  • The WND Administrative Committee held its 4th plenary & integrity meeting on Aug 8, rallying the entire government system to stay confident, work hard, and take bold steps to deliver on this year's and the 14th Five-Year Plan's goals, contributing more to local and national growth.

  • WND is seeing a surge in tech firms gearing up for the capital market. In the first half of 2025, five new IPO filings were accepted, the most in Wuxi. The total number of pre-IPO companies in WND was 18 by the end of June — about one-third of the city's total — driven by strong local support.

  • Experience summer sweetness at the Hongshan Grape Night Market in WND from Aug 4 to 22. Savor juicy grapes, enjoy outdoor movies, and explore stalls offering government services and showcasing creative cultural products from 6 to 8 pm every night.

  • A new scenic train-themed tourism attraction with a 40-million-yuan ($5.57 million) investment is set to open at the China View Stone Park in WND during the National Day holiday. Spanning 35,000 square meters, it features international train zones, a tent campground, family-friendly playgrounds, and forest-style lodgings – offering a unique blend of art, leisure, and nature.
