A delegation led by Taku Shimoda, president of Zacros, visited Wuxi National Hi-Tech District (WND) on Aug 26.
Founded in 1914 and listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market, Zacros is the world's largest manufacturer of polarizer protective films, with products widely applied in the electronics, healthcare, and food safety sectors.
The company's high-performance liquid container project in WND, its first production base in China, focuses on packaging for the medical and food industries. The project was officially signed in Osaka in May 2025 and has since entered the construction phase. Phase I is scheduled to be completed and put into operation in 2026, with capacity expansion planned for 2028 to establish a comprehensive production layout.
During the visit, Shimoda outlined the company's development journey and project roadmap. He praised Wuxi's strong industrial foundation, strategic location, and favorable policies, highlighting the professionalism and efficiency of local services since the project's initiation.
He emphasized that Zacros will continue to deepen cooperation with Wuxi and WND, bringing advanced technologies in biopharmaceuticals and medical packaging to the region and contributing further to local economic and social development.
