Bosch Automobile System Wuxi celebrated its 10th anniversary and the launch of its Phase II plant in WND on Sept 17. As the builder of Wuxi's first world-class Lighthouse Factory, Bosch has greatly supported local growth, industry, and jobs. The new facility will manufacture commercial vehicle e-drives, connectors, and other advanced products, adding strong momentum to Wuxi's auto and parts industry.

The Oracle (Xinyun) Future Center opened in WND on Sept 19, coinciding with a seminar on how AI can help Wuxi enterprises expand globally. Backed by a 30-million-yuan ($4.22 million) investment, the center is operated by Wuxi Xinyun Intelligent Computing under the Oracle Partner Network. The center, along with the seminar, connects WND companies with global technologies and strengthens the district's AI industry.

WND and Wuxi Industry Development Group held a strategic cooperation agreement signing event on Sept 13, unveiling an integrated circuits industrial park and an intelligent equipment industrial park. Agreements for 14 cooperation projects were also signed, spanning park development, enterprise incubation, and funds collaboration.

WND held a meeting to advance construction of the new area in its Comprehensive Bonded Zone on Sept 17, reviewing progress, addressing challenges, and planning key tasks. In July, the State Council approved a 1.11 km² expansion, marking a major step forward in the district's high-level opening-up platform development.

WND held a project managers' work briefing on Sept 18. The district has piloted a "Project Manager System" in eight emerging industry sectors, appointing 16 managers to form a team proficient in technology, industry, investment, and project coordination. It's driving the growth of future industries and the development of a world-class high-tech park.

Deep Blue Aerospace, headquartered in WND, successfully conducted the first full-scale ignition test of its 130-metric-ton-class reusable LOX/kerosene rocket engine, Thunder RS. The test marks the largest thrust LOX-kerosene engine trial in China's commercial space sector, showcasing the company's capabilities in rocket R&D, production, and commercial launch services.

Alpha, a world-leading ortho-k lens brand, has established its first R&D and production base in China in WND, which is also its first site outside its Japanese headquarters. Starting three months ago, lenses made in WND have been exported to Japan.

At the 2025 Jiangsu Conference on Industry-University-Research Cooperation and Exchange, Great Wall Strategy Consultants announced its "2025 Sci-Tech Future Star" list, unveiling emerging trends in China's tech innovation. Among the 80 companies selected nationwide, 21 are from Jiangsu, including WND-based Smart Memories.

WND, invited as China's representative national hi-tech zone, saw a representative deliver a keynote speech on China-Brazil Innovation Day, sharing its achievements in collaborating with Brazil and expressing commitment to further cooperation in joint scientific innovation and the integration of industrial chains. Representatives of WND-based Angelalign's Brazil subsidiary shared their experience achieving localized operations in Brazil, offering a vivid example of Sino-Brazilian industrial synergy.

The Wuxi Symphony Orchestra opened its 2025/26 season with a concert titled Fate and Renaissance on Sept 13. Beethoven's iconic Symphony No. 5 filled the Wuxi Grand Theatre with power and passion. This season will bring 20 symphonic and eight chamber concerts, promising a rich year of music.

Wuxi Shuofang Airport has announced an upgrade of Terminal 2's domestic passenger flows by introducing a mixed-flow system. By removing the separation between arrivals and departures, the upgrade allows better use of space and facilities, creating a more convenient, comfortable, and efficient travel experience for passengers.
