  • French food giant Danone celebrated the topping-out of its expanded Nutricia factory in WND on Oct 13, marking another milestone in the district's partnership with global industry leaders. Upon reaching full operational capacity, the upgraded facility will double the production output of Nutricia’s enteral nutrition suspensions in Wuxi and foster synergistic growth within the life and health industries.

  • WND and Guolian Minsheng Securities signed an enhanced cooperation agreement on Oct 13. The partnership will target six areas — industry research, debt financing, investment support, investment banking, overseas business, and project attraction — driving industrial cluster growth and high-quality economic development in the district.

  • Twenty-three brands signed on to join Mland, a music park–style commercial center in WND, on Oct 11. The lineup includes nine first-store openings and spans dining, lifestyle, and other sectors.

  • WND unveiled its Assistive Technology Incubation Hub on Oct 14, alongside a job fair for people with disabilities. The hub is set to become one of China's leading centers in its field by 2030, with an expected output of over 500 million yuan ($70.16 million).

  • Unicomp Technology in WND has developed China's first open-tube X-ray source and brought it into industrial application after eight years of research, marking a breakthrough in the field. Its intelligent inspection equipment, featuring a self-developed 160 kV open-tube microfocus X-ray source, has also entered small-scale production.

  • Deep Blue Aerospace recently achieved a successful 20-second full system ignition test of its 130-metric-ton reusable LOX-kerosene rocket engine, Thunder RS. The milestone provides key data for future testing and lays the technical foundation for the first stage of the Nebula-2 heavy-lift rocket.

  • Gigalane shipped its first self-developed 8-inch inductively coupled plasma deep silicon etcher, NeoGEN-MAGMA200D, following assembly, inspection, and in-house process validation on Oct 13. This marks a major milestone for the company in high-end semiconductor equipment manufacturing, just seven months after its China HQ in the Xin'gang Integrated Circuit Equipment Parts Industrial Park in WND began operating.

  • WND was honored with the Green Transition Award at GreenCities, Urban Intelligence & Smart Mobility, a flagship event on urban intelligence and sustainability in Spain, on Oct 1. WND has long embraced green development by optimizing energy structures, advancing green policies, and creating eco-smart parks. It has made remarkable progress in environmental protection, green industry growth, and promoting low-carbon lifestyles.

  • S&P Global has released the 2025 Corporate Sustainability Assessment results for LongShine Technology Group in WND. With a score of 54, LongShine outperformed 96 percent of global software peers, placing it in the top 3 percent worldwide for ESG performance.

  • At the 2nd China Lithium/Sodium Battery Materials Conference, WND company Sodium Innovation Material Tech and its founder Liu Zhongqing took home two awards: the Technological Innovation Breakthrough Enterprise Award and the Rising Talent Award. The company was recognized for outstanding contributions in NFS system materials and received high praise from industry authorities.

  • WND-based Lead Digital, representing China's technological strength, shared insights into China's industrial AI innovation, practical applications, and vision for global collaboration during the 2025 China-South Korea Media Cooperation Forum in Seoul on Oct 13.

  • Wuxi National Software Park in WND won the AABI Incubator of the Year Award at this year's annual summit of the Asian Association of Business Incubation in Jakarta, Indonesia, on Oct 15, recommended by the Torch High Technology Industry Development Center of China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the AABI China Council.
