The WND Yuexin Growth Center — China's first student mental health center involving schools, families, and the community — opened on Oct 30. Powered by AI and big data, it will support the mental wellbeing of 100,000 students, teachers, and parents across the district.

Japan's Kobe Steel signed an agreement for its new marine compressor and resin mixer project in WND on Oct 30. As Japan's third-largest steel conglomerate, with over a century of history, Kobelco will continue to strengthen R&D and local manufacturing in WND, expand its global reach, and contribute to regional growth.

SenseTime, a leading AI company, signed a cooperation agreement with WND on Oct 29 to build the Qian Xuesen Science & Innovation Museum along the Bodu River. Scheduled to open in early 2026, the museum will serve as a landmark for science education in the Yangtze River Delta, promoting the spirit of scientists, showcasing tech and culture, and fostering public scientific literacy.

Four leading low-altitude technology companies from WND showcased their innovations at the 3rd CATA Aviation Conference from Oct 24 to 26. The district also signed a cooperation framework with the China Air Transport Association to jointly develop a low-altitude economy demonstration zone focusing on competitions, training, science education, and industrial incubation.

Titan Esports Club, a top-tier Chinese esports organization with more than 6 million fans, has signed an agreement to establish its base in WND. The club will build a virtual sports broadcasting center and introduce global esports tournaments to the district. With its professional operations and international experience, TEC aims to work with WND to create a new esports hub for event operations, talent cultivation, content production, and commercial development.

The 6th China MEMS 2025 Manufacturing Conference was recently held at the Suzhou International Expo Center. China Resources Microelectronics once again ranked among the Top 10 China MEMS Enterprises, a testament to its strong leadership and technological excellence.

Xin'an sub-district's Home Care Service Center was recently named a national model for elderly care — the only community-based institution in Wuxi to earn this honor. Covering 3,800 square meters and serving over 100,000 visits annually, the center has become a warm haven for seniors, offering care and comfort.

Nearly 20 Gen Z representatives from 12 countries – including the UK, the US, Russia, Canada, Peru, and Morocco – came together in WND from Oct 27 to 28 to explore the district's cultural landmarks and signature industries, experiencing its dynamic economy and rich heritage firsthand.

WND is making city travel easier with a three-year traffic improvement initiative. The first 15 congestion points have been upgraded, and work on the next 13 is nearly done. A third phase, covering nine key intersections, is now underway to further ease the daily commute.

Artists from seven provinces — Shanxi, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong, Hubei, Hunan, and Guangdong — gathered at the Bodu River Cultural Center on Oct 29, where they delivered a series of high-quality performances, filling the venue with laughter and applause.
