WND and Volcano Engine signed an agreement on Nov 11 to launch the district's AI service platform — the first of its kind in Jiangsu. Featuring modules for unified AI operations, large AI model services, and security protection, the platform will power new AI applications and energize industrial transformation.

Wuxi Alps Electronics launched a smart manufacturing project for electronic components on Nov 8 in WND. With a total investment of 1 billion yuan ($140 million), the project will expand production capacity and build an industry-leading digital smart factory. After 30 years in WND, the company has become Alps Alpine's best-performing overseas production base in terms of both sales and profits.

South Korea's largest semiconductor parts cleaning and coating enterprise Mico Group signed an agreement to establish its China headquarters in WND on Nov 7. The project includes an additional investment of $30 million for the launch of a new coating project. Mico Group established KoMiCo Technology Wuxi in WND in 2005.

WND officials visited Beijing from Nov 11 to 12 to engage with major enterprises and ministries, as well as advance a series of high-impact innovation projects. An agreement for the iSoftStone Digital Energy Headquarters was signed, which will drive AI and big data integration in the energy sector and serve as a model for the Yangtze River Delta's digital energy development.

WND signed an MoU with AIM Global Foundation at the AIM Congress – China Chapter in Shanghai on Nov 7. Together, they will build a global business expansion service center to support enterprises in Wuxi and the Yangtze River Delta as they explore Middle Eastern and global markets.

At the Jiangnan Beauty Bay, a beauty and healthcare industrial park in China-EU Industrial Innovation Zone (Meicun sub-district), a neighborly collaboration is making waves. Baby care brand Dexter has teamed up with fellow tenant Top Commerce for live-stream sales, generating over 2 million yuan ($281,752) in monthly sales. Since opening on April 2, the park has welcomed 58 companies, created 400 jobs, and its annual revenue is set to exceed 3 billion yuan.

WND has pioneered a streamlined approval process for fixed-asset investment projects. Using an expansion project of Wuxi China Resources Gas as a test case, the district integrated key approval steps into a single workflow, speeding up project review and becoming the city's first successful example of this one-stop approach.

WND has been listed among the 2025 model cases for advancing new-type industrialization. As a core hub of China's IoT industry, the district has accelerated the deep integration of digital technologies with the real economy – upgrading infrastructure, strengthening digital platforms, and helping companies scale up intelligent transformation.

The Institute of Electronic Design Automation of Peking University in WND has won provincial backing for its project on advanced 7nm+ chip design and EDA software. The support highlights the institute's expertise and Jiangsu's commitment to driving innovation in strategic emerging technologies.

WND has pressed ahead on multiple key projects since the start of the fourth quarter. Major works include the Emerald River project by the Wuxi Symphony Hall, the new campus of Tianyi High School, the Wangzhuang Road underpass renovation, and the second phase of the Bodu River ecological management project. Progress continues to advance, with the district striving to complete these flagship projects on schedule.

To celebrate and preserve WND's rich regional culture, the "Bodu Dianying" Local Document Collection was unveiled on Nov 12, alongside a new social donation channel. The collection will support signature activities like "Bodu Lectures" and "Walking Bodu", turning cultural heritage into a source of inspiration and development for the district.
