Wuxi hosted a signing ceremony for the AIDC Computing Equipment R&D and Manufacturing Headquarters project on Jan 4, along with a series of ecosystem partnership agreements, marking a major step in building a next-generation computing infrastructure hub.
Once in operation, the headquarters project will focus on producing prefabricated, plug-and-play AIDC solutions, a new modular approach to data infrastructure construction. The project aims to establish a complete business chain in Wuxi covering design, order management, manufacturing and delivery, positioning the city as a global delivery center for AIDC computing equipment.
The event also saw the launch of the Wuxi Computing Equipment Industrial Park, the first of its kind in China. The park will concentrate on AIDC system manufacturing, core component production, trade and sales, and R&D centers.
The park is planned to cover roughly 1,000 mu (66.67 hectares) of land. Phase I spans 230 mu and is scheduled for completion by the end of September, while Phase II, at 700 mu, is expected to be completed by year-end. Once fully operational, the park is projected to generate more than 100 billion yuan ($14.31 billion) annually in both industrial output and trade value.
At the signing ceremony, multiple cooperation and supply-chain projects were confirmed with partners including Modnex, CSCEC Science and Industry, and Johnson Controls.
