Phase III of International Life-Science Innovation Campus in WND completed

Phase III of the Wuxi International Life-Science Innovation Campus in Wuxi National Hi-Tech District, or WND, reached completion and acceptance on Jan 16, marking the delivery of a new 100,000-square-meter hub dedicated to the fast-growing synthetic biology sector.

The newly completed phase is designed to support the full innovation chain, integrating research and development, pilot-scale testing, office space, and daily living facilities. The goal is to build an innovation complex that brings together industry, community, and commercial services, enabling companies and researchers to grow in a highly efficient, livable environment.

The park's layout reflects a strong emphasis on practicality and flexibility. High-standard laboratories and pilot-scale production workshops are paired with modern office areas and supporting amenities, enabling research teams to move seamlessly from experimentation to small-batch production while enjoying convenient on-site work and living conditions.

Even before its official completion, the park had already attracted a number of high-profile tenants, including the SDIC Novel Protein Biomanufacturing Innovation Center. As an industry leader, the SDIC center has brought with it a first-of-its-kind platform for developing novel protein applications.

WND has accelerated the clustering of leading synthetic biology enterprises in recent years. With the completion of the park's third phase, the district is taking another solid step toward building a future-oriented, high-level biomanufacturing industrial cluster.
