Wuxi carried out a full-day inspection of major projects across the city on May 12, reviewing construction progress on site. The visit underscored a continued focus on advancing major projects, expanding investment, and strengthening growth drivers – laying a solid foundation for a strong start to the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-30).

The 12th plenary session of the 2nd CPC Xinwu District Committee was held on May 9, calling for efforts across the district to stay committed to its development goals and sharpen focus on new conditions and challenges. These efforts aim to deliver a strong start to the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-30) and contribute to broader national development.

The Casstar Medical Equipment Full-Cycle Management Center was unveiled at Wuxi Branch of Ruijin Hospital on May 14. By integrating professional technical support, standardized operating procedures, and efficient service systems, the new center aims to improve the safety, efficiency, and reliability of hospital equipment operations and provide more stable and high-quality support for clinical treatment and patient care.

A council meeting was held at Wuxi Branch of Ruijin Hospital  on May 13. At the meeting, several new platforms were unveiled, including a brain health center, the hospital's International Medical Department, and the Xinwu District AI-assisted ECG Diagnosis Center.

WND officials led a delegation to Hangzhou on May 11 to visit several high-tech enterprises, including Celgenyx, a global leader in cleaning robots, Vistring, and an OPC project. The visit focused on connecting with frontier innovation resources and exploring new areas of cooperation to support the district's next phase of high-quality development.

WND officials visited Shanghai on May 12 to engage with leading enterprises — including Huangpu River Capital, a prominent player in controllable nuclear fusion, Huahong Group, and Dizal Pharma — advancing ongoing negotiations and accelerating the implementation of major projects.

The 13th Kinetica 1 rocket successfully launched from the Dongfeng commercial space innovation pilot zone on May 15 at 12:33 am, deploying two Taijing-3 satellites developed by Minospace's WND base into precise orbit. The mission marks a major milestone for Minospace as it shifts from single-satellite R&D to scalable, industrialized production, and becomes a core player in commercial satellite manufacturing and constellation deployment.

A Long March-7 rocket carrying the cargo craft Tianzhou-10 blasted off at 8:14 am on May 11 from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site. Among the payloads was a tethered satellite developed by NUAA and Minospace. Built on Minospace's MN30 platform, the satellite will conduct the world's first in-orbit demonstration of tethered satellite formation flight technology.

At the Workshop on Promoting Digital Industrial Cluster Development in the APEC Region held on May 14 in Shanghai, WND was invited to share its best practices in digital industry development. WND has grown into a major digital industry hub in the Yangtze River Delta region, with revenue nearing 290 billion yuan ($42.62 billion) in 2025.

Three cases submitted by WND were recently selected as outstanding innovation cases under the "High-Quality Party Building Driving Rural Vitalization" initiative.

A total of 19 enterprises from WND, the highest among all districts in Wuxi, made the list of "AI + Manufacturing" diagnostic service providers released by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology. 

CCTV News' WeChat Channel account featured the Wuxi-produced composition Shanhe Anlan as background music in its coverage of US President Donald Trump's visit to China on May 14. The piece was created by Xiao Sita, vice-chairman of the Xinwu Music & Dance Artists Association. A graduate of Jiangnan University, he has long been active in songwriting and arrangement, with widely circulated works including Wuxi and This is Jiangnan.

The construction drawings for a public transport parking facility at the third phase of Area A in Wuxi Hi-Tech District Comprehensive Bonded Zone have been approved, clearing a key milestone. Once completed, the facility will provide 451 parking spaces, helping ease parking congestion and offering residents a more efficient parking experience.
