The airframe of the AT8000, a heavy-lift electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft developed by Muyu Sky Aviation Technology, rolled off the production line in Wuxi National Hi-Tech District on July 15.

Recognized as the world's largest known eVTOL, the AT8000 is designed as an 8-ton-class "flying heavy truck", significantly surpassing other heavy-lift eVTOL aircraft currently under development.

The aircraft delivers impressive performance, including a maximum payload of 3,500 kilograms in its range-extended configuration, a cruising speed of 252 kilometers per hour, and a fully loaded range of up to 1,000 kilometers.

According to Muyu Sky, the AT8000 has been developed entirely in-house, with proprietary technologies spanning concept design, aerodynamic configuration, structural engineering, electric propulsion motors, and integrated avionics systems.

Unlike conventional low-altitude logistics aircraft, the AT8000 is designed to meet the demands of heavy payloads, long-range missions and high operational efficiency. It is expected to serve a wide range of applications, including time-sensitive cargo delivery, cold-chain transportation, emergency supply missions, offshore logistics, and essential goods distribution to remote areas, enabling direct point-to-point transport.

Following the rollout of the airframe, Muyu Sky will accelerate final assembly, system integration, ground testing and preparations for the maiden flight, while advancing airworthiness certification. The company aims to bring the AT8000 into commercial operation as soon as possible and secure a leading position in the global heavy-lift low-altitude logistics market.
