A direct passenger air route between Wuxi and Hong Kong has been launched, signaling Wuxi's growing connectivity with one of Asia's leading international transport hubs.

Operated by Hong Kong Express Airways, the service runs daily throughout the year. Flights depart Hong Kong at 4:15 pm and arrive in Wuxi at 6:45 pm, while return flights leave Wuxi at 7:45 pm and land in Hong Kong at 10:20 pm. The journey takes two and a half hours each way.

"We were attracted by Wuxi's rich natural scenery and tourism resources when planning this new route," said Jeanette Mao, chief executive officer of Hong Kong Express Airways. "The service will make travel between Wuxi and Hong Kong more convenient and enable passengers to connect via Hong Kong to a wide range of international destinations."

This new air link further strengthens the ties between Wuxi and Hong Kong. Earlier this year, a direct high-speed railway service began operating between Wuxi and Hong Kong West Kowloon Station. The introduction of a five-year talent visa policy for residents of Hong Kong and Macao has led to more frequent exchanges in innovation, research collaboration and talent development.

Home to thousands of Hong Kong-invested enterprises, Wuxi has long maintained close economic, cultural and people-to-people links with Hong Kong.
