As Wuxi becomes China's first AI Industry Innovation and Application Pilot Zone, WND held its monthly AI industry development meeting on Aug 8 to review progress and map out priorities. With targeted efforts and clear goals, WND is accelerating the "AI+" initiative and building new momentum for the growth of its AI industry.

WND leaders visited Taihu and Huazhuang subdistricts on Aug 13 to review their economic and social development, hear local concerns and coordinate solutions to key challenges. The visits also outlined priorities for the next stage.

A meeting to advance reforms to WEDD's investment promotion and corporate service mechanisms was held on Aug 12. The meeting called for stronger coordination, enhanced services for businesses and more effective investment promotion.

Another boost to WND's semiconductor system! Japan's TGG signed an agreement on Aug 12 to establish a headquarters in the zone focusing on wafer inspection, cleaning and grinding equipment. The headquarters will integrate R&D, production, and sales and plans to prepare for an IPO in 2029. TGG specializes in semiconductor equipment including fully automated wafer probe stations, cleaning machines, grinding equipment and metrology and inspection equipment.

Yoozoo Games, Sunrise, and Kowin Technology signed an agreement to build a 2.5D/3D advanced packaging center in WND on Aug 12. The center will be developed in three phases. Once fully completed, it is expected to incorporate key technologies such as bumping, water level chip scale packaging, fan-out packaging, and 2.5D/3D heterogeneous integration.

Senior executives from Sembcorp Development visited WND on Aug 12 for talks on the development of the Wuxi-Singapore Sci-Tech Innovation City. The two sides discussed consolidating existing cooperation and exploring new areas of collaboration, including industrial funds, AI infrastructure, computing-power and electricity coordination, and overseas expansion services, opening new opportunities for mutually beneficial growth.

Based at Wuxi International Life-Science Innovation Campus, the company's PockeTouch is the world's first pocket-sized handheld liver elastography device. Now approved for the market, PockeTouch is bringing smarter, more accessible liver screening to everyone.

The Jiangsu government and Huawei signed an agreement in Nanjing on Aug 6 to deepen cooperation, including joint efforts to develop the OpenHarmony ecosystem and advance the integration of AI across the province's industries. Two WND companies, Swanlink and Runkaihong, are participating in the initiative. Having invested in OpenHarmony for years, WND is building a robust ecosystem through technological innovation and the development of practical applications.

WND-based StorageX unveiled two high-performance computing products on Aug 12: the LakeTi P220 AI and data acceleration processor (XPU) and the XThor X400 LPU, a scalable computing platform for large language models. Behind their journey from R&D to mass production is WND's strong industrial foundation, with its early-mover advantage in IoT, robust integrated circuit capabilities and powerful manufacturing base.

CIQTEK was listed on the STAR Market of the Shanghai Stock Exchange on Aug 11, becoming China's first listed company focusing on quantum precision measurement. Its shares opened at 110 yuan ($16.31), up 418.38% from the pre-listing price of 21.22 yuan, with its market capitalization briefly reaching 44 billion yuan. Xintou Rongzhi Fund, under WND Venture Capital, backed CIQTEK as a strategic investor. The listing marks another milestone in WND's efforts to leverage capital to support cutting-edge technological innovation and foster emerging industries.

Klight Laser, based in WND, took 1st place in the Growth Enterprise category at a disruptive technology innovation competition of Jiangsu, standing out from a strong field with its cutting-edge expertise in deep-ultraviolet lasers. Congratulations on the well-deserved win!

WND held a WorkBuddy-themed event on Aug 13 to explore how intelligent digital tools can help integrate Party building with industrial development and government services.

Jiangsu Tianyi High School's Xinwu Campus was completed and ready for use on Aug 7. Located in Hongshan subdistrict, the modern high school combines its educational heritage with Xinwu's local cultural characteristics. The new campus is scheduled to open in September, further supporting the development of high-quality education in WND.
