The agreement for a headquarters project focused on next-generation precision probiotics and microbiome-based functional medicine was signed on Oct 25, bringing a new research and industrialization initiative to Wuxi National Hi-Tech District (WND).

The first phase will establish a research and development center and a pilot-scale production base at the I·Campus Airport Base, covering nearly 3,000 square meters. Construction is expected to begin in December, with four production lines planned for probiotic powders, capsules, sachets and tablets. A large-scale industrial production base is planned for the second phase.

The project is backed by a collaborative innovation chain designed to move scientific research into commercial applications. Jiangnan University provides academic expertise and supports early-stage innovation, while the Wuxi Institute of Special Food and Nutrition Health will facilitate incubation and pilot-scale testing and development. Jiangsu Helplifes, the new project, will lead industrialization.

The collaboration aims to bridge the gap between laboratory research and the market, accelerating the transformation of scientific advances in probiotics and microbiome health into products for wider use.
